Conditions of Entry at Adelaide Hills Recreation Centre

To ensure a pleasant and secure environment for all our members and guests, please take a moment to review our venue conditions of entry.

Our Venue

  1. Inappropriate, foul language and aggressive behaviour are not permitted.
  2. Please respect the rights of others and our staff.
  3. Facility operators reserve the right to refuse entry for any reason.
  4. Medical Conditions: If you have any disease, illness, injury, or medical condition, it is recommended you speak with your GP or staff prior to using our facilities.
  5. Waiver and Release of Liability: Please acknowledge that when you are on the premises, both your property and person shall be at your own risk and shall not hold the centre or its employees liable for any personal injury or loss of property which may arise from any cause.

Health Club

  1. You must be over 16 years old to use the gym on your own. Teens aged 12 – 15 years can access the gym during Teen Gym sessions or when accompanied by a supervising parent or guardian.
  2. Please wear suitable attire, closed shoes, and always carry a sweat towel and drink bottle. 
  3. Wet clothing is not allowed in the gym or group exercise areas.
  4. Please return weights and loose equipment to original position/storage after use.  
  5. Guests and members must use a towel on all equipment and wipe down after use. 
  6. For your safety and to enhance your workout experience, we strongly advise all gym users to:
    • Warm-Up: Engage in at least 5-10 minutes of light exercise or stretching before starting your workout. This helps to prepare your muscles and reduce the risk of injury.
    • Cool-Down: Spend 5-10 minutes cooling down and stretching after your workout. This aids in muscle recovery and helps prevent soreness. 
  7. Use of the Group Exercise rooms is only permitted during a scheduled class.
  8. Virtual workouts are available on demand in the designated areas. These are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please wait for the previous class to finish before starting your own class.
  9. No food or alcohol is to be consumed in the gym or group exercise spaces.

Gymnastic Areas

  1. The equipment must only be used when a certified Gymnastics instructor is present
  2. Gymnasts must attend session warm ups – late arrives may be unable to participate.
  3. No chewing gum, glass or glass bottles, food and drinks on the gym training area.
  4. No one other than currently registered and enrolled gymnasts are allowed on the gymnastics floor or on the equipment for any reason.
  5. Personal phones are not permitted on the gym floor unless permission is given by the coach.
  6. No destruction or vandalism of equipment will be tolerated.
  7. Glass objects or alcohol are not permitted.
  8. Gymnasts need to wear appropriate gymnastics attire. Hair should be tied off face and no jewelry is to be worn.
  9. Parents must make their children aware of the possibility of injury and the rules of the gym and insist that gymnasts follow the safety rules and coach instruction.
  10. Cameras and mobile phones are not to be used for photos or videos unless authorized by Centre Management.
