What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun and engaging paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Played on a smaller court with a perforated plastic ball and a solid paddle., the game can be played as singles (two players) or doubles (four players). Pickleball is considered a low to moderate impact sport, suitable for players of all ages and fitness levels. The sport emphasises strategy, precision, and agility, providing a great way to stay active, improve coordination, and enjoy friendly competition in a social setting.

Adelaide Hills Pickleball Club

Description: We are excited to host Pickleball –  Adelaide Hills Pickleball Club on site.

Pickleball is a paddle sport you can learn in minutes and play for a lifetime. It brings together elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong to create a sport that’s fun for all ages and skill levels, but gets fast-paced and exhilarating at competitive levels.
Play is indoors on our badminton-sized court. Usually played as doubles, but also played as singles.

Unlike tennis or badminton, Pickleball use a solid paddle to hit a plastic ball over a low net. A game takes 10-25 minutes.

Highlights: Whether you’ve been playing racquet sports your whole life, or you’re walking onto a court for the first time; whether you’re young, old, or in between; whether you’re strategic and competitive, or just want to get involved in something fun, social or active… pickleball is for you!

Schedule: Wednesday Social | 10am – 12pm
